PastPlay Offline Game Extensions Privacy Policy

This page is the dedicated privacy policy for the PastPlay offline game extensions published on the Chrome Web Store. It is not the general privacy policy or homepage of the hosting website.

1. Scope

This policy applies to every current and future offline Chrome game extension published by PastPlay Offline Game Extensions that links directly to this page and follows the data practices stated below. The policy is intentionally shared because the covered extensions use the same data practices. It does not list individual extension names or Chrome Web Store IDs.

An extension with materially different data practices will not rely on this page until this policy is updated accurately or a separate policy is published.

2. Extension data practices at a glance

Data practiceCovered extensions
Personal or sensitive user data collected by the extensionNone
Data transmitted by the extension to the publisherNone
Data sold or shared for advertising, analytics, or profilingNone
Chrome permissions, optional permissions, or host permissionsNone
Remote executable codeNone
Local game dataMay be processed only on the user’s device when needed for gameplay

3. Data collected by the extensions

The covered extensions do not collect or transmit personal or sensitive user data. This includes names, email addresses, account credentials, authentication information, payment or financial information, health information, personal communications, precise location, browsing history, website content, form data, IP addresses, device identifiers, advertising identifiers, or user profiles.

The extensions do not contain analytics, telemetry, advertising networks, tracking SDKs, crash-reporting services, remote databases, or publisher-operated data APIs.

4. Local processing and storage

A covered game may process game saves, emulator save data, scores, control settings, audio settings, or similar gameplay state locally on the user’s device. When local storage is used:

  • the data is used only to provide or remember the requested game functionality;
  • the data remains inside browser-managed storage on the user’s device;
  • the data is not sent to the publisher or any third party;
  • the data is not used for analytics, advertising, tracking, or profiling; and
  • the data remains until the user clears the extension’s local data or uninstalls the extension.

Because the publisher never receives this local data, the publisher cannot access, export, correct, or delete it remotely. The user controls it through Chrome.

5. Permissions and browser activity

The covered extensions do not request Chrome permissions, optional permissions, or host permissions. They do not read or modify websites, tabs, cookies, browsing history, downloads, bookmarks, or other browser activity.

6. Packaged code and game files

Executable JavaScript, WebAssembly, emulator components, and game files required for the extension are packaged locally. The extensions do not download or execute remote code. Loading files from the installed extension package is not a transmission to the publisher.

7. External webpages

Clearly labeled controls may open the PastPlay homepage, the matching PastPlay game page, or a user-selected sharing service. The browser then communicates directly with the chosen website under that website’s own privacy policy. The extension does not attach local game data, browsing activity, identifiers, or personal information to those links.

A covered extension may open its dedicated getting-started webpage after a fresh installation and may register a goodbye webpage that Chrome opens after uninstallation. Those pages provide extension-specific help or removal information. Opening a public webpage causes an ordinary HTTPS request to the website and its infrastructure providers, which may receive standard request information such as IP address, browser type, and request time. The extension does not add game data or a persistent extension identifier to the request.

8. Use, sharing, sale, and retention

Because the publisher does not collect or receive extension user data, the publisher does not use, sell, rent, disclose, or share extension user data with any person or company and does not retain extension user data on publisher-controlled servers.

No extension user data is transferred to advertising platforms, analytics providers, data brokers, social networks, or other third parties.

9. Limited Use

The covered extensions do not request or receive information from Google APIs. If that changes, use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

10. Security

User data is not transmitted by the covered extensions. User-initiated webpages and the installation or removal information pages use HTTPS.

11. Children’s privacy

The covered extensions do not knowingly collect personal information from children or from any other users.

12. Changes

This policy will be updated before a covered extension begins any materially different data practice. The Last updated date above will identify the current version.

13. Contact

For privacy questions about a covered extension, contact the publisher at masarose1234 [at] gmail [dot] com.
