Your four-player world is ready

Open the extension from Chrome’s toolbar. The original SNES game is the default tab, while Team Relay is a separate local HTML5 challenge.

To start: click inside the game, press Enter, choose multiplayer, then use the keyboard mapping shown below.

Original SNES ModePlay the packaged version 1.0 four-player hack as the default experience.
Turn-Based MultiplayerPlayers share two controller mappings and take turns after a level or lost life.
Team RelayA secondary local mode offers four short platforming legs, coins, enemies and checkpoints.

Getting started

  1. Pin the extension from Chrome’s Extensions menu.
  2. Open the popup and keep Original selected.
  3. Click the game once, press Enter, then choose multiplayer.
  4. Players 1 and 3 share controller one; players 2 and 4 share controller two.

A separate four-leg relay

Switch to Team Relay for a shorter local challenge. Move with the arrow keys, jump with Z, hold A to run and reach each flag to pass control to the next runner.

The permanent footer and built-in Guide show the same mapping so players do not need to guess.

Extension removed

Super Mario World 4-Player has been removed from Chrome. Reinstall it if you want to return to the original SNES game and Team Relay.
